I'm surprised at how lackluster and different Chie-sensei Can't See It is to Tarou Yuri's successor Kaya-chan Isn't Scary.

Chie-sensei's character design is fairly different to what it is now, but overall the art in this One-Shot over the successor manga has more effort put into its depth.
Instead of one character who's a psychic like Kaya, the One-Shot's children all have the ability to see a horrifying evil spirit.

While in the end, a pedophilic perverted man steals children's panties to wear, he gets eaten by the monster, and says "Thank you for the meal" before consuming its victims.
Before that, one children accidentally said the same instead of the routine good morning, and when asked to draw her picture, they all drew her with the monster near her.

I had higher expectations than this even with the synopsis and title clearly hinting at the main plot, but I was hoping for something more.
It's decent, even though the tension and pacing is fairly good, it's still underwhelming somehow with the ending of nothing more from the spirit. I don't know... Nonetheless, 6/10.

I'm comparing it too much to the manga successor which is very different, while this One-Shot is very inconclusive and not exceptionally unique.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
