I finished Clannad in a hurry last night when it was around 4am๐Ÿ’€ and I had to go to school next day because there was a class test (it went okok). So now after coming back, I realised that it was a masterpiece (especially the after story) but I didn't understood the ending well...

I just watched the show back in like April/May and tbh I watched a video afterwards to fully understand the ending. I already thought it was a masterpiece but after fully understanding it it was like beyond one…

Anyways based off what I remember for those questions…

1: Nagisa revived because Tomoya’s wish was granted. That’s the simple answer at least, the complex answer kinda goes into #2 so I’ll answer the rest there.

2: The orbs coming out of the ground are supposed to be those orbs that appeared throughout the series I believe. If you remember everytime something like good happened or he helped someone one of those orbs was created (I forget the exact reason but it’s something along those lines, they explained it in one episode) When Tomoya’s wish came true in #1, it was such a big wish that it required a ton of those orbs for it to be granted, and when he and Ushio died together on their walk it created the last orb they needed to grant Tomoya’s wish. Honestly I forget if the orbs were really there or if it was like an “imagination” thing but that was like all of them “releasing” basically.

3: This also kinda connects to the last question cause this other world is where the orbs were being held this entire time, and what makes this story phenomenal is the fact that the girl in this world was actually Ushio, meaning their own daughter was the one collecting these orbs the entire time and she was able to grant her father his huge wish. The robot on the other hand was actually Tomoya as well. Honestly I don’t remember every little detail on how the world ended I just remember it came to an end and I think it was shortly after when the happy ending took place.

Hope that makes more sense, I already don’t recall every single detail but once you realize how this story was actually laid out the entire time it’s amazing.

Honestly, I don't know, when that moment happened, I just said "Fuck this shit, I'm too stupid for this 400 IQ nonsense".

Yey another opportunity to paste this phenomenal video:

Even on my first watch I understood most of those things, because they are literally in the face.
Everything is clear and properly explained in the anime.
You don't even need to play VN to understand it.

It was an "I woke up and it was all a dream" that's not what I'd call a masterpiece but a cop-out.

I disagree with your statement ๐Ÿ˜€
I studied till 2am and I thought that I'll watch 2 eps and sleep within 3am... but the story spiced up and I watched till 4-4:30
I remember everything of it

That is the core of what happened though. Sure they fluff it out a bit and add some convoluted method to get to it but it's still what happened. It also feels like it goes against the entire morale of the story which is change, loss and continuance.

Will admit that I wanted him to end with Kyou though so maybe there's some bias there but even so that'd have fitted better with the theme I think.

You are completely wrong, because that's nothing at all what happened.

Might as well be, same outcome.

It’s one of the most complicated endings. It makes sense if you look into it. I recommend looking it up and just feeding an analysis. That’s what I did and I pretty much fully understand it

The light orbs that appear when someones happy can grant wishes. Next time you rewatch pay attention to all the subtle hints.

Basically the ending turns this show into Dragon Ball, whose protagonists gather several orbs to be granted any wishes they want. Kinda disappointing if you ask me.

Yh the ending for after story was shit. I think it was a recap episode or something. I clearly was too pissed off to watch it.

its not just an "i woke up belh blhe blej" it was foreshadowed for the entire series starting from episode 1

that wasnt the theme you tomato humper. the theme is living without regret, even when haply things go away. at the very end tomoya grapples with whether he shouldve started a relationship with nagisa because it would have stopped so much suffering not to do so. this is where the light orbs become important, because he is trying to figure out what he wants. whether he should try again or give up. and when he does nagisa is happy and tells him he was the reason she had a happy life, and to NEVER regret the way he had lived.
