Say-My-Name said: Definitely the TV series, it translates the manga arcs up until The Angel Eater Arc if you include the 'Fighting Wings' OVA that follows Season 2. You definitely get a more complete/accurate AMG story from the TV series narrative while the original 1990s OVA was just a loose adaptation of the early manga. For a nice epilogue you can follow-up the 'Fighting Wings' OVA with AMG The Movie which is set approximately 3 years after Belldandy first arrived on Earth and takes place chronologically after the TV series and features a 'Judement Gate' which likely inspired manga author Kosuke Fujishima to use something similar as a plot device in the manga finale years later.What would you guys recommend? |
