Unrelated to the anime. Place your thoughts on how you feel about the post apocalyptic genre. To me, it pretty relaxing like the manga i read earlier Shuumatsu Touring. I would imagine myself walking around places where the world was consumed by nature, going to the place where i couldn't visit, roleplaying as a cashier at an abandoned mall even though there's no one around. I feel calm about this. No loud police cars blaring through the streets, no sound of a construction worker, or there's no karen screaming on top of their lung across new york, just pure sounds of nature.

I do agree with you. There is something kinda magical in the post apocalyptic setting. Quiet and forgotten world where nothing really matters and nature retakes it's place. It feels free and calming, relaxing but also sad in a way because everything, good and bad is gone. It's lonely but beautiful, relaxing yet scary. The fall of Man and rise of nature. In my opinion one of the best settings/worlds if done right.

I am a huge fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise.
Both S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Otherside Picnic are based on Roadside Picnic movel, thus the similarities, including the title.
