...Indirectly Saved the Day?

Before reading on this topic may have spoilers for episodes 11 and 12, so, if you haven't watched further and don't want to get spoiled, here we go...

Okay, episode 11 was entirely between Kazuya and Sumi and by Kazuya crying in front of Sumi and confessing what's bothering him and when she started crying his tears, he had that idea to be the support for Chizuhara. Honestly, it was somewhat a touching scene between Kazuya and Sumi, she was his support at that moment and it was quite a nice scene.

She's already the best girl to many but honestly, it did feel like that moment with her did save the day. Episode 12 happened and after being shown the sad past of Chizuhara, Kazuya, even though he doesn't know anything of her past, started to take action in helping Chizuhara.

Anyway, who thought of the same thing? Sumi's tenderness saved the day.

I’m sorry to say this but as a Sumi fan she is the most neglected character in the series. She has the most character development but is seen for a total of 30 chapters. She hasn’t been seen since like chapter 120 and we at like chapter 250. So she doesn’t save the day she’s just good friend who’s helpful.

Yeah cuz like always, Reiji milked the series like going to Indian, encountered Pinoy man, and it’s like Sumi doesn’t even exists after that last chapter of her appearance..But lets hope Sumi will be able to confess eventhough at the end, Kazuya will still choose Mizuhara and Sumi will just root them from behind. Tbh, Sumi should be the top 10 characters in KanoKari but yeah Chizuru still better eventho she always gives problem to Kazuya in the latest chapter. Meaning, Kazuya already confessed but we need to wait for Mizuhara’s answer for like very long since the investigation arc began

She was in for a small arc from chapter 153-156 and then she was never seen again. But after that her character development was kinda done so I don’t rlly mind that she hasn’t been in it since, and we still get her in the spin off so it’s alright.
