Its pretty crazy to think about how TPN was inside the top 60 highest rated anime of all time on here and now its outside the top 100. TPN S2 really changed the whole perspective on the anime and even the anime community changed how they look at original anime s2's. Mad crazy.

Season 1 was actually pretty great and I dont think the score of the first season changed so much. The biggest factor is that many anime released after TPN S1 have a higher rating.

If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

Even without season 2 the first season doesn't deserve a top 100 spot it's just an introductory arc that's pretty good but that's it

I really wonder what the point of your discussions is.
Like, do you really care about some random persons taste or do you really feel the urge to offend someone just because he likes anime you don't or vice versa. And you don't even discuss about it. It's always like "Bro, considering your taste, your opinion doesn't even count lmao." It's just so superficial. Besides the fact, that a personal taste is...well, subjective, at least try to bring some arguments to back up your point of you, right? Because this way, it just feels, like you just want to offend people out of fun, which is kind of poor.

No doubt S1 was superior, but that’s because of the plot that’s so unexpected. I don’t dislike S2 like everybody, I think it’s kind of beautiful the way kids tried to change the deal and then the flashes of their normal life and reunion, but there’s no shock or surprise like the first season (and that’s understandable).

The main score for season 1 has only dropped by about 0.12 points since season 2 came out, which I don’t think is that bad considering how bad season 2 was. The fact that season 1 is still so highly rated though shows just how well this season can stand on its own.

It's juste that the season 1 was a very good and accurate adaptation of the manga and the animation was very good.
But for season 2 the best arcs were just not here. I mean the first season was 5 volumes they couldn't do 4 seasons total so they needed to remove lots of things but they made it so bad...
The worst part is that the end is made in a way that to understand what happened later you have to read the manga. It's true that the anime is just a way to promote manga but it's just so stupid for an anime that was actually an accurate adaptation of the original.

Yeah, I've noticed the decline, but I never really associated it too much with S2. It seems anime scores in general decline over time, for reasons such as all the most ardent fans watching when it airs or shortly after, I assume. It does make me wonder tho- the score has only declined, not risen. So in 20 years will this season of TPN be at like 7.08 or something? lol. Serious question, since I've never seen an anime score rise with age.

The rating will most likely stabilize eventually. Considering most people rated this a 8-10/10, it’s unlikely the score will ever drop to a 7.08 or lower.

yeah, that makes sense! I only pointed that out because I've almost never seen an anime score rise. Now that I think about it, Shadows House season 1 score rose. But yeah, I've never seen TPN's score rise. I think when I checked the first time, it was at a 8.66. The TPN manga was at an 8.27 but is now an 8.19. But I suppose that is reasonable, given how the manga turned out towards the end. Still gave it a 10/10 tho. lol

The score of the first season has also been lowered . I think it’s kinda like a honeymoon phase. People rate very high when there’s a new anime and then they lower their rating.
