But they are different from Ugetsu and Akihiko. And it looks like he's afraid things would change (well, things will definitely change once they debut and they're also graduating). Some people don't really welcome change because of all the uncertainty or find it hard to adjust to changes. Plus, he's also afraid of making the wrong choice. So he ruminates on a lot of things to be certain before taking any action; it also has something to do with what happened to him and Yuki when Yuki started the SYH band as Yuki spent more time with music and away from Mafuyu.

Yeah, you're right they're in the same band so it's a bit confusing. But like Ugetsu said, Mafuyu neglected factoring in what Uenoyama thinks. So before Mafuyu decides whether to debut or not with Given, Ugetsu suggests Mafuyu listen to what Uenoyama has to say first hence attending the concert (to listen to the music Uenoyama and SYH finished which is actually Yuki's song for Mafuyu; of course both Mafuyu and Ugetsu know nothing of this).
