This has been the last Monogatari Series anime that has come out and it has been 5 years. Shaft did say on Twitter that they were making the new series “Off Season” 2 years ago and there has been no updates (correct me if I am wrong) The twitter source is in this video, can’t find the actual tweet https://youtu.be/lv9e2VcPXE8

I don’t think this anime will stop here just because of how big of a show it is. The show is popular, so is the LN and the manga is also doing really good with it being recently serialised in the west. I feel like Off Season will come some day but when and will it still be by Shaft? And how long will we have to wait? I just want to see more Monogatari

Edit: Yes there is a typo. I am big dumb and blind…
Also this isn’t the last Monogatari they did, it was Zoku… I am 2 brain celled

zoku owarimonogotari was last adapted, but i doubt that they will adapt offseason+monster season in 2+ years at least, if something insane in their management won't change

In all honesty. I feel like Monogatari will do just fine without Shaft. We all wanted Kaguya Sama to be animated by Shaft as that manga was very much in their style but A-1 did fantastic. Yofukashi no Uta feels very much like Monogatari in terms of the witty dialogue, atmosphere and it even has the Shaft Headtilt. This is probably because the director of most of Monogatari directs it so if they have Itamura Tomoyuki directing then I believe another studio could easily take over Monogatari as a series. But I guess Shaft may be busy with the new Madoka movie so we will have to wait for any announcement

Last I heard shaft is struggling a bit rn as a company so idk. But ofc I will happy if there is more of Monogatari regardless of if shaft does it or some other company takes over as long as they do not ruin the show. That’s where the line should be drawn.

nah, Monogatari without Shaft is not monogatari those unique traits specific to Shaft can't be replaced, setting, gorgeous backgrounds and atmosphere it's unmatched, If Akiyuki Shinbou is not directing i can already tell that it will be a disappointing.

I would better not have an Off Season if it's from a different studio, this will 100% lead to animation, storyboard and artstyle change, literally Shinbou has been director for monogatari for the past 10 years and his animators, different people will have different visions therefore changes in the anime, we all all know how different anime ended up after they changed the studio

Yes, I am hoping for this too. I’d like to read them before watching.
