| We finally got the second trailer for Scarlet Bond movie! Remember that this is an ORIGINAL STORY written by Fuse, the LN author. Its ONLY CANON TO ANIME STORYLINE and this happens after Season 2. Remember, Fuse tends to retcon any changes back into the LN, like how both the Veldora's Observation Journal and the Shizu-Diablo meeting were canonized, so it's wrong to just assume that the movie is non-canon when it's written by Fuse. Especially since there's a 1-month timeskip between LN vol. 6 and vol. 7 events in which the movie story could take place, and Fuse left himself the "other western nation" entry on the map open as a wildcard for any new nations he thinks of after the fact or in side-stories/spin-offs. |

I know that Fuse wrote S1 Episode 24 and Ovas 3,4 and 5 and they fit in canon timeline of LN. I even aware of the 1 month timeskip of Vol7, which the movie can possible exist. But even if this is written by the original author, is his choice to make this canon or not to the Light Novel. Since anime is an adaptation, the events doesnt have to match with what happened in LN, like reorder the first episodes of S2 to put the Eurazania meetings and the second Dwargon visit. Even in the last scene of S2 where it implies that Diablo arrives on Falmuth at the same time as Rimuru returns to Tempest from Walpurgis is also a proof of that. Which i think they´ll use that scene of the events of this movie in order to happen (although i am not sure if they will show Falmuth mission in this movie, or leave it to Season 3). Anyway, not of us are 100% sure of what Fuse will decide, so thats why i am assuming that the movie is only canon to anime for now. We have to wait for the movie to find out. |
