Am debating reading this, I feel that it isn’t gonna be as good as the main series, is it worth reading?

Should I read Kakegurui twin? Am debating reading this because: feel it won’t have as much drama, high stakes, crazy gambling matches. Does it have these high stakes, these crazy, compelling gambling matches?

This is very much a personal thing, but to me the stakes and gambling in Twin are more interesting simply because Mary isn't as insane as a main character. I find it hard to care whether the main character wins when they don't care whether they win or lose themselves.

That said, it is a prequel so if you've seen or read the start of Kakegurui you pretty much know how it will end.

For what it's worth, the big spin-off series (Twin and Midari) are all written by the author of the main series so writing-wise the quality should be similar. The spin offs just have someone else doing the art.

Personally I enjoy Twin a lot. If the attraction of the main series is seeing Yumeko rile up the other casts with her crazy high stakes gambling, then Twin's attraction is seeing how Mary and her friends triumph against terrible odds while trying to survive a brewing power struggle between the many new characters and factions. Personally I think Mary is a really fun protagonist to follow, although she is more of a typical heroine than Yumeko.

Is Kakeguri midari also a prequel following midari? And is it worth reading as well?

And also why is there different artists?

Kakegurui Midari also takes place before the main series I think (since I don't recall Yumeko showing up in that manga), but Midari already has the eyepatch there. I just remember Kakegurui Midari feeling even more disconnected from the main series, due to the protagonist, Nureba, not showing up in any of the other series. Midari might be fun to read, but it's harder to find. I only read a bit so I can't really recommend it

Also I don't know why there are different artists for the spin-offs, maybe the author just didn't have time to do the art themselves or wanted to collbaorate with others.

Does anyone know why Kakegurui (main series) chapter 96 is delayed?

Gambling School and Twin are quite different in terms of the mood and characters temper. In Gambling School, risks, craziness, psychological distress are some of the main aspects you can find. In Twin, most of characters are conscious of the risks and take their time to think about their next moves and theirs potentiel consequences. For example, Yumeko and Mary are very different protagonists. Yumeko plays only for the risks that a game can occur while Mary is more pragmatic and realistic in her way to gamble
