It is not an ova, it is canon to the story and takes place directly after season 2

Yeah, you've to watch it. It's a manga canon and introduces a new significant character. Also, I don't think in the next season they'll go back to this again and I'm quite sure it's gonna start straight from the end of this episode. Maybe they'll give some summary but that's all.

It is canon and starts adapting from where s2 left of so its a must before s3 and it also introduces a very imp character who is imperative to the whole story

Its a special episode continuation of season 2 and directly connecting to s3 and yes it’s necessary to watch if you’re going to watch s3

It’s a 40 minute long special that goes between seasons 2 and 3. I’d recommend watching it as it is related to the plot.
