Did I miss something? No context?

I can't help but feel like they hopped really late into the story and it didn't really explain anything. Are they planning on going back? Did I miss episode zero? Is there a side story or something other than the manga? I kindof would like to know the context of how their relationship was/ended and how their parents ended up getting together but all of that has been skipped (so far atleast). Just curious if anyone knows anything more

Dawg what, It's only one episode released so far, atleast wait for few more eps or read the LN. Nowadays, some of the story/Context is shown after, keeping it spicy and suspense.

They have left their past relationship as mysterious to make things more interesting

so either wait or just like the other guy said switch to the LN if you want to know

Every chapter of the LN starts with a flashback from the time they were dating.
And it's revealed pretty early on volume 1 the reason why they broke up.

The entire premise is them having to live together as siblings after a breakup.
We know, that they were a couple in middle school, but details are irrelevant.

For example, Shikokori decided for some godforsaken reason to skip enite season worth of content and we have absolutely no idea who those people are, what connects them or why should we care about them.
In comparison, this is a masterpiece.

The anime hasn’t done a good job with pacing at all the manga and LN both give a lot more information as the story goes on.
