| As any good figure collector and fan of the Panty and Stocking series should know, during and around season one’s airing a few figures of its main characters were released, the most famous being nendoroids and 1/8 scale figures by Alter. In recent times, these have become hard to find and therefore very expensive on the aftermarket. Point being, do we think new figures could be released? Is it common for the second season of a show that’s been on hold for this long to get new figures upon said series being picked up again? | Sure, there's a possibility for new figures with the new season. There's a number of examples. Off the top of my head, it happened with D.Gray-man and Inuyasha. I can see Good Smile re-release the nendoroids. Can't say the same for Alter unfortunately. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Alter has ever re-released scales that are a decade old. Alter's Panty scale is in my top 10 favorite figures of my entire collection. Sadly, I'm missing Stocking because as you said, she's hard to find and ridiculously expensive when you do. I wish to complete the set, but I can never justify overspending that much. On a side note, I can't help think of FLCL. FLCL's sequels got 1 new figure, which was the new girl character whom I can't even remember the name of. Haruko got nothing as always. It's sad to me there's not a single proper Haruko scale or even a nendoroid. All she has are a couple of garage kits from like 20 years ago and a crappy Funko Pop. It's crazy to me that FREEing hasn't made a bunny of her. She literally wears a bunny suit in the show. How can they not? Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure both Panty and Stocking also wore bunny suits. If FREEing announces 1/4 scales for them, I'd buy in a heartbeat. |
