I really enjoyed the unique and offbeat animation style of this show. The way it looked like it was being drawn while you watched it was very visually pleasing. Does anyone have a recommendation for shows that also have a unique animation style in the same vein as this one? It doesn't have to be sports, can be any genre, but would like something that also has a captivating story. Cheers!

Kemono zume is also an anime realized by Masaaki Yuasa so the art style is the same, and it really has a good story. But you can try any other anime from Masaaki Yuasa because most of them are pretty unique actually.

I’m currently watching Mob psycho 100, and the fight scenes have a similar animation style
If you are from South East Asia, then I request you, when you will start an anime, you search if it is available on Muse Asia and Ani-one Asia, before looking through piracy websites

Yeah I'm a big fan of Mob Psycho. The animation is incredible in both seasons.

I realized I've actually already seen a lot of Yuasa's work including recently watching Eizouken. He is an incredibly gifted animator with a wide range in abilities.

Every Masaaki Yuasa anime. My favorite are Devilman and Ping Pong, but tbh every anime made by Science Saru and Yuasa is worth watching.

Just building on what everyone is saying here, the movie Mind Game is a particularly great work of Yuasa’s (imo) that’s frequently overlooked. Highly recommend.

I’m watching one now. It’s called Hands off Eizouken! Not a sports anime but it is in that hand drawn pages coming to life style. The animation and direction are amazing

Will definitely check it out! After posting this I realized I've seen a lot of Yuasa's work already so would love some less known recommendations from him
