Was not expecting the insane improvement in animation quality

The animation was pretty average and sometimes below average in season 1.

This season though has been pretty incredible. Not even just the animation being way smoother but the fight choreography and the camera angles in everything have been really impressive. Also it looks like they got rid of the poor CGI from season 1.

It’s not typical for animation to improve so much from one season to another without the studio being changed, so it caught me off guard in a good way.

Considering the 7 year gap between the first and second season it's to be expected there would be a jump in quality while retaining art style. IMO the difference was actually very small compared to other long running series over the same 7 year period.
