I hope it gets like 5 centimeters per second , I believe that’s the best anime movie I hope this one gets to that level

Very. I love Makoto Shinkai movies and have watched all of them. I feel like this one would be somewhat similar to your name in terms of an adventure and supernatural happenings. Hope they don't attach it to "weathering with you" since it heavily undermines the plot and the personality of the characters in exchange of a cheap smile from the viewers on recognising the characters from the other movie. The trailer is great and as always the animations is just mind-blowing. Like every other Makoto Shinkai movie i expect the movie to have a life lesson. In short i am very excited to see this movie and the wonderful portrayal of the character's emotions as seen in all of his movies.

Well, I hope it will have better fleshed out characters than Your name. And the plot should start from the start of the film unlike how it is in Your Name which wasted the first half of the movie not progressing the plot. And less plot holes like Your Name.

Soo much pressure and expectations ? Just enjoy his style for what it is no one is perfect… “weathering with you” and “Your Name” have different messages tied together by character appearances and the love & disaster themes… neither gets old in my option.

Just finished watching it. After Tenki no ko I didn't have too high expectations, but this movie really went all out, made me feel like the first time I saw a Miyazaki Hayao movie.

The animation is absolutely stunning as well. I want to say it's probably the best animation I've seen.

Yeah, me too, but... I love Shinkai's previous works, have great expectations like everybody and their granddads but somehow the trailers don't seem promising. Stellar animation and catchy main song themselves are not enough to make something memorable, so I hope it will be more than those.

same!! can't wait for it to hit north American theaters! i missed my chance to see your name on the big screen bc i was too self conscious aaand... i regret that to this day! these movies are just too beautiful and vivid and must be appreciated on the largest screen possible. wow... typing this reply makes me really miss going to the movies... please don't let this be the century where both the magical trip to blockbuster and the spectacle of seeing a movie in theaters... either way, im gonna try to go see this movie!

are you by any chance an artist or a musician? your take on the matter is giving me vibes.

And, to me personally your name wasn't that good story wise but the animation and soundtrack steal the show anyway... in other words, i don't re-watch your name for the plot... i don't think it's meant to be appreciated for it's storyline. the events of the story were just the means to create beautiful, vibrant hand drawn animation paired with an emotionally charged masterpiece of an ost. so I hope this movie follows that same pattern. I really need something to drool at right now and a soundtrack for when im sitting in commuter traffic would be nice too.
