| Aww that was cute. Even if they only get to meet once a year, their love is still going strong. Also wonder what the deal between Sarah and Charlie is. Also, I seriously hope Jasmine finds some happiness. She absolutely fucking deserves it. Honestly, I'm not really sure how to feel about this series. I started reading this hoping for a cute and wholesome romance, only to be met by a love polygon and stalkers and creepy love potions (Seriously, the fact Hailey recommends it nonchalantly and acts like Emma is some kind of object makes me really uncomfortable. I get that it supposed to show that the monsters have very different thought processes from humans but its still hella creepy. Love that Ryan doesn't buy into all that crap) within the first 20 chapters, so it slightly threw me off balance at first. It gets a lot better once Victor is gone and Ryan and Emma slowly figure out how their relationship is going to work. Can't say I really cared for the Hunter and Jamie part of the story, felt like it was there to pad the story out. Overall, a decent and mostly wholesome romance, with a lot of cliche supernatural shenanigans thrown in. |
