WHY SO UNDERRATED???

Hey i just finished watching season 1 and currently halfway in season2. This is a really good anime. Very mature and logic plot. Not cliche and generic like any other animes with imoutos. I think it deserves to have score higher than 7.5. It doesn't even reach 7.0 mal score. 😮😮

Well it has to do with the shows base and people didn’t like the ending in multiple different ways I didn’t hate it though it’s really a personal opinion

I'm kinda shock a little about the ending, but I actually enjoy this show so much. The characters development was great, so the story too. One of my favorite shows

If you already catch up to S2 and still thought it was good,then the only answer is: this anime just soo to your taste. Don't get me wrong. Other than his sister,I like all other characters,plot,and the comedy. I guess the only reason I couldn't fully enjoy this show is his sister just soo fcking annoying,like,the worst annoying character in any anime. And mc just fcking simp to his sister that I almost thought he was masochist. And ending is sucks. So just accept the score. If you like it,just give 7-10 score for yourself. End.

I loved the show and it made me wish there was more but yes the sister is annoying as fuck and at some point i wanted to kill her but she sometimes made it up with her cuteness. And yes the second season felt exhausting where i actually got a headache from it at some point. By wanting to see more of the show i meant i wished there was more of it thinking that possible future seasons would fix it and make it as good as the first season or even better.

I don’t know why so many are saying the ending is awful, it’s not at all and was pretty wonderful to be honest.

Anyway about why this is underrated, well technically it’s not, at the time of its airing and for a long while after Oreimo was very popular and a very important part of otaku culture, things have changed a lot in the past decade so the show isn’t nearly as relatable as it used to be for newer fans, more so outside of japan than in the country . The show is still very popular in Japan, unfortunately the controversial nature of the last season due to it having zero shame in displaying incest makes a lot of westoids feel uncomfortable lmao.

Probably for the best newer anime fans don’t find this show because it’ll give them something new to complain about on twitter for a week. It was super popular during the golden age though so I wouldn’t call it underrated at all.

If you want underrated and controversial go watch Kodomo no Jikkan

- Ending is infuriating, tho expectable.

Anyway, despite it is a trash of the highest caliber, I still recommend you to watch it simply because of Kuroneko character.
She is easily THE best thing about this show and the only reason you should watch it and enjoy it.
Also, it is IMO Kana Hanezawa's BEST performance ever.

I really enjoyed the 1st season, the comedy and storyline is good. But not for the 2nd, I've ever thought about to stop watching this show, but I push myself to keep watching with the hope of getting a satisfying ending. But nope, the ending is horrible.
It's just my preference, i know everyone has their own opinion. I just want to say incest theme is not my taste, it's annoy me honestly.

Well, as far as i remember, people just couldn't accept how gold everything end and decide to go brrr.

Though, even if i find the over all of the series enjoyable and a great watch (ofc i do it alone, damn it xd), but i did quite agree that the end could be more 'gold'. So mal current score is understandable.

I felt this as well; Kuroneko and Saori are the only redeemable characters (maybe Ayase as well, but that's only due to Hayami's voice acting, if anything).

Other than that, after having reached the end of season two, I forgot who the rest of the cast were because they were either boring or just irritating, helped in no part by the story direction, as has been extensively noted already in this thread.

Sort of off-topic; I disagree on it being Hanezawa's best performance (because Steins;Gate, among others), though her character is the best thing about the OreImo series, but I guess that's a different discussion... :P

Because MC lead is a wuss and pathetic, getting slapped, beaten, cursed by his younger sister and he still like a dog appeases his sister. Whereas Sister personality is a straight up abomination, slapping, cursing her brother and then asking fr help (which her brother does).This wl explain the poor ratings, it didn't even average reach 7 stars out of 10.
