This is kind of early, but what are the chances this gets a season 2? How much of the LN did they adapt for the anime? I haven't read the LN, but I am going too.

It's possible, they have up to book 8 written. They are doing up to book 3.

Given the general meh quality, it's probably unlikely though. This seemed like a really stereotypical "advertising the source material".

The book is good but not amazing, it definitely has a lot going for it, but has weaknesses as well.

But who knows. That is just my thoughts.

personally I wouldnt like a season 2 (on an off note I have a no drop rule aside from 1 show, so I'd have to watch it), I am not a fan of the series, it doesnt really have anything going for it for me and I fiund it uninteresting.

further, the show likely will not be, it's too disposable, like other isekais recently that will never get a season 2 because of how forgettable they are, it wouldnt make financial sense for them to continue it on.

not every animation studio can make good animation. you should get used to average animation.

most of the time unfortunately animation teams isn’t given enough time to deliver what they’re really capable of

I found this show to be very enjoyable and relaxing...
I wouldn't mind getting a second season, if possible. (But I understand that the chances of a second season are low, so I won't be hoping too much)
Also... Do the 8 LN volumes have Official English Translations available?

Translations are up to volume 4, and volume 5 is coming out next month. I’m all caught up, and I definitely recommend the LN if you’re enjoying the anime :D

By the Grace of the Gods got a second season announced, so it's isn't unlikely this anime will get the same treatment as well

is how EVERY studio pays the bills. none of them can put out Unlimited Budget Works every. single. season. or even twice a year. or even once a year. just look at CloverWorks this season right now. DressUp and SailorUniform are top tier stuff. whereas Tokyo24 is barely passing in some places and very pretty in others. plus, T24 already had a one week delay due to 'production issues' but DU and SU haven't.

the middle of the road, is the middle of the road for a reason. if there was nothing 'average' out there, the scale would be weighed too far in both directions, crap and holy cow that's gorgeous!

i hope it gets a S2. i really enjoy this one. Saint Power etc. got a S1&2. we got Killing Slimes for Hundreds of Years. Other World Bar(?) got a S1&2. Dragon Real-Estate happened. so maybe the era of the 'warm n fuzzy isekai/fantasy' is upon us?

perhaps it is a ... backlash? reverberation? reaction? to the 'ick' factor of Re:ZERO and ShieldHero, and GoblinSlayer, and Redo of Healer, and Overlord, and Tanya the Evil (gee what's in a title guys?) ;) ... we've kinda gone off the deep end in places. dark. dank. evil. maniacal. horrific. ultra-violent. ultra-realistic.

maybe, just maybe, folks WANT some warm n fuzzy fantasy isekai etc. shows now?

my guy I am very versed in culture, this show along with most of maho films shows have an hanime look to them. I was comparing it to the other shows I'm watching this season. I like this show, it's just I know it has bad animation and art

I’d be quite surprised if it did but it’s not impossible. Probably best to assume it won’t.

Please no... one minute this wants to be an action series, the next it tries to be a slice of life, and it fails at both. The MC is like a drone with an A and B mode, mode A is an unfunny temper tantrum, and mode B is the personality of a rock.

but the anime has already covered up to book 5, with episode 12 being litterally the tail end of the chapter

Given that the LN is reaching near the end of the series
i really dont see them skipping season 2.

The pace of the anime is so quick (FullMetal Alchemist situation), that im sure there will be a second and most likely final season covering the "Lost City" arc. Concluding after that.

So much of the anime is flip-flopping between action and adventure. There is very little of the character development from the LN. Meaning cramming the events of books 5-10[speculative] would easily fit into 12 episodes.

I highly doubt a new season. This series felt like a promotion of the source material. If the sales are good, and their merch sales and bd sales are also good, then a new season is possible. But really dont think it will be anytime soon. Would love to see this series get a season renewal.

Season 2 is welcome but the chances of it feel pretty slim.
