So many people are missing the point of why this exists. It's not for the anime fans who can pirate whatever they want and have everything at their disposal. It's made for two very different reasons:
1. TV
2. Streaming

If someone missed the movie, they would be very lost when watching the RLD arc, and rerunning an entire movie is not very common on Japanese tv, as it's a very competitive space. So ufotable knew this and broke the movie up into smaller sections and aired them as episodes since they already had the time slot ready. It's not meant for people who have the movie readily available

Streaming services are more likely to have a tv anime than an anime movie. If this was not made, it would be less likely for a streaming service to have the arc at all, and if they have season 1 and RLD, the audience would be very confused. an example would be hulu, as they have season 1, the tv version of mugen train, and RLD. Without this version, the audience would be completely lost and not be able to watch the show at all.

I hope this allowed people to understand that this is not just a cheap cash-grab, but something made to help audiences enjoy the story better.

I didn’t consider this a cash grab, and why would people consider it a cash grab anyways
If you are from South East Asia, then I request you, when you will start an anime, you search if it is available on Muse Asia and Ani-one Asia, before looking through piracy websites

They say ufotable just made this for some money because it would be fast and sell well anyway

I'm still kinda wondering why this was approved to the database, while Garden of Sinners, which also received similar TV treatment was not.

Probably because the first episode was completely new, or that's my guess at least

I think that people were just annoyed that they had to wait longer for the new season.

probably because the content in Garden of Sinners contains full blown r*p* scenes and the gore is far more prevelant. I mean, we can even see that now in fate with how much more gore was put into heavens feel(movie) compared to unlimited blade works(TV)

Garden of Sinners does have a TV series, but for some reason mods removed it from database.
"Inappropriate content" is completely irrelevant, because there are numerous other series who also has it.

ohhh... I thought the OG comment was asking why Garden of sinners didn't get broadcasted despite having a TV version😂 I didn't even know KnK got a version like that until now

The movie was released on Crunchyroll and funimation, the two titans of anime streaming. If you wanna make the argument for TV I can get behind it. However, if you wanna make an argument for streaming platforms? You lost me

I meant streaming platforms aimed at more casual audiences, like hulu or Netflix, not the ones for more "hardcore" weebs

I'd assume because the KNK TV series was just movies 1-4 & 7 cut into TV sized- episodes so they could air on TV apparently to promote Mirai Fukuin, while Mugen Train has new content entirely. I don't think the KNK 'TV Series' is supposed to be officially recognized, as it seems to be referred to as a TV edit, whereas Mugen Train is considered part of season 2 of Demon Slayer..

MAL is admittedly pretty inconsistent with their databse entries, I may be wrong.
