Magus of the Library
| I've finally got around to read the fifth volume and I want to discuss it! The previous volume did a fantastic job at introducing Theo's new life at Aftzaak but this one takes everything to a new level. The story about Aya was great and revealed even more details about the continent's traditional rules and why so many women undertake the Kafna's examination to prove themselves to the world. The creation of the literary club by Mihona (with Sophie Schwimm as a member!) should have great significance later on. Medina's blue blood and unrestrained pride are pushing her to the brink and her whole situation is quickly spiraling out of control. Finally, Tei appears after being teased two times in volume two and volume four! The final revelation stating that she will become the next chief of the library might even surpass the one from volume four's final pages. I'm looking forward to volume six. |
