| This gotta be the best chapter so far. At least it's the most emotionally intense one, even surpassing the first one. Dora needed Kusanagi talking some sense into him. |

| Dora's angry reaction to the Mononoke that killed his mother, while understandable, does read a bit rote to the point of not feeling very effective to me, however the bro moments between Dora & Kusanagi landed well. Kusanagi's full-page spread of not wanting to lose Dora was pretty effective, and the fist/head-bump at the end of the chapter was pretty sweet. I do feel this was maybe a bit too soon into the series run, but it's unfortunately possible that there isn't much time left in it's run to begin with, so establishing their bond here is nice. I'm looking forward to seeing how Doron Dorororon ranks in the upcoming weeks, since it's yet to be officially ranked. It's my favourite of the new series but a wide margin, so hopefully it places well. |
