Colette and Hades eventually get married, but then Colette develops a disease that is incurable with the current medical knowledge, so she sets out on a “journey” but then goes back to the Underworld for her final moments. Hades is there next to her while she’s dying, Kotsume and the skeletons are all crying. She’s waiting to board the boat in the Underworld after her death to go to her trial when Zeus arrives and asks her if she wants to become a goddess. Colette says that she’s a human, Hades will find another wife soon but then Zeus tells her that Hades said he will never marry again. When she sees how sad the Underworld is by her death she decides to go to this fountain to become reborn as a goddess. I believe Demeter becomes her adopted mother? Anyways she becomes a goddess and that’s where the sequel comes in :D
