It seems like after episode 7 the story just took a nosedive down the rabbit hole.

Jing Xuan's demeanor leaked through his Grandpa Heng disguise which I was suprised nobody suspected his appearance or Elder Feng didn't rat him out for making her more suspicious due to the appearance of young master Xiang Yu and his comrades.

The family elders of Siliang island keep referring to humans as mortals as if they still are immortal on Siliang island. The Xu father made me think about how they all age as humans but the immortals have an attachment to the gods as if it's their obligation to return to ageless immortality in the heaven realm. It also raises another point, it seems to be inferred that the mortals are in pursuit of the immortals for their powers but don't know that they are exiled gods stripped of their immortality and/or cultivation.

Furthermore, I'm not liking the development of Tu Li and young master Xiang Yu - It seems shes become more attached to him yet he isn't nearly as attached to her in the way she is; It feels like he's using her because of her soft spot to empathize with other humans from her homeland.

Not sure why Tu Li decides to trust him again after her specifically telling him not to get on Siliang island and he's being unnecessarily disrespectful the entire time being entitled to Tu Li's status too. Her soft spot shouldn't cover for people that almost get her killed is my point in the previous sentence, characters falling into character is my worst enemy.

Edit from the future: Some details are assumptions and aren't consistent with the actual story.
