That new quick attack

Just watched ep 10. They've shown kageyama and hinata practicing their so called new quick attack. Apparently the ball stops mid air or something. But I didn't see much difference. Can somebody explain it?

I don't remember well but I think it is that one in which instead of hitting the ball directly with hinata's eyes closed he started hitting with his eyes open which allows him to set a location for ball.

Actually kagayema new set allows the ball to spin and rotates which for a brief period of time makes the ball stop in mid air at the highest point and then instantly go down. In the previous fast, hinata didnt open his eyes and kagayema's set ball was pretty fast and if hinata didnt struck it, it would go even further without stopping.
This new quick allows hinata to open his eyes and it allows him to easily concentrate and aim his palms on the ball without losing to the speed or height of the ball.

In the original quick, Kageyama set it in a straight line that went through Hinata’s path, but with the new one, he sets it in an arc that reaches its peak at the exact point he hits the ball from so he has great control over the direction of the ball

Well I dont remember I think the new quick is same as before of 1st season but one change is that ball stops in mid air but wait for next season

In the original attack, the ball follows a linear pathway, whuch passes by quicker than the new one, and therefore gives hinata less time to decide where to hit it. In the new one, the ball follows a parabolic pathway, therefore it stops for a moment at the vertex, giving hinata a few seconds to see the field and hit where he wants to
