Disappointing first chapter from this supposed recently best of Itou Junji, but intriguing and creative nonetheless based on groups of sewn corpses.
Although, it's ridiculous at how unrealistic it is in a seemingly common world setting, with no questions answered in the end.
It's weird in the end, with the abrupt twist that Natsuko Horie is involved with this group of Billions Alone.
Most likely the mastermind of it all, and somehow organized all of this ... even though there's no hint of any explanation.

The factor of the male protagonist having a past crush on the only girl who was kind to a loser like him didn't have much value, except to lead him to hope that he could be with her after she (assuming she's the killer of it all) killed her boyfriend.
It might have been better if there was more depth to why she does this, along with an origin and why she chose him specifically to be hers in the end without killing him because he's a loner. Theoretically that is.

Ultimately though, It's extremely nontranspart which weakens the foundation of it all, but as a basic horror that simply has shock with little depth. It's alright... 3/10.

The idea is creepy at first but just becomes predictable. It is impossible to sow so many people at the same time unless she has supernatural powers, like an entire community of naked people?!

After having read practically all of Junji Itou's works, while this being one of the first- now a fan, rereading this, I change my harsh rating of 3/10 to 5/10.
I don't know how I thought Natsuki was the mastermind, but I doubt she is. I think she just became insane and curropted, even though it suddenly happened while she was waiting for Michio.
It may be another one of many Junji Itou's horror left mysterious with no answer in the ending, but now I know better that most of his stories are left mysterious, unless I'm unaware of its Japanese mythology in the story.

That remains a flaw to some of his stories because it doesn't give logic or reason to how his plot functions, but corpses sewn together is still a cool horror factor.
