Is having 3 character designers a bad sign for the production of the anime?
Previous seasons only had 2, so idk what that could mean

No the quantiy doesnt have much to do with the quality

I guess it would be less workload, if they're working together with each other's strengths and weaknesses in mind it shouldn't go wrong.

depends on the director i think, more manpower means more efficiency which usually means more reliable quality, but it depends on leadership.
