Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I tried learning it on my own and couldn't figure it out:
what exactly is that metallic rectangular thing that the main character was given when he was made part of the disciplinary committee?

I could be wrong here (feel free to correct me) but I think it’s like an ID badge. I’m pretty confident that it is not a CAD as in one of the following scenes we are shown the committees arsenal of CADs and it does not appear to be there. Take this with a grain of salt though as I haven’t watched the show in a while and was only skimming through episodes and the wiki in order to reply to this post.

I also think it might be a badge of some sorts, but there is a scene (the one where he ends the brawl between the kenjutso club people) where he seems to turn the thing on before acting. So... idk

I think its like a small portable recorder. Because before Tatsuya interfere with the kendo and kenjutsu club, he seems to turn it on. At least that's what I always assume.

I think this is more probably the case.

If I remembered correctly.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.
