| komi is too retarded to communicate is one of the worst anime i have ever fucking seen but this is not the whole story, a huge part of the issue is the audience, this anime exposes everything wrong with weebs in generals. it's "wholesome". we keep hearing this from every fan of this show, it's wholesome because it doesn't talk trash about other people, it's wholesome because of the radiant energy that it gives never fails to bring a smile to someone's face. so who is smiling? to answer this question let's take a good look at the MC, Komi. she is the most beautiful character in the show, where ever she goes people are astonished by her beauty but there a problem, she can't communicate at all, so how is this possible? how can the most beautiful girl in the show doesn't have an ounce of confidence? the main thing about main characters in general is how much relatable they are, who would find komi relatable? Insecure girls. their insecurities makes komi appealing to them, komi is insecure but look at how beautiful she is, so i might be beautiful too! this whole anime is a giant coping mechanism for insecure people. but incels are also falling to this trap as well, they get happy to see komi being weak and pathetic, since she is beautiful this gives incels a sense of power. this is how the writers of the show SEES you, there is zero lessons in this show, but the audience is too stupid to see this, it's truly pathetic how lazy the storytelling is, but you didn't care about the plot in the first place did you? now you might be wondering why this criticism doesn't apply to shows like "welcome to NHK"? the reason is NHK is critical of weeb culture. |
