Really liked this volume, my favorite so far, it was shorter than the two previous ones and it didn't drag on with boring moments, the characters were better utilized too and they got more development.
It seems each volume Lugh and his group are getting stronger and stronger, they will reach a level where no one besides the hero can defeat them.

Also this volume really spiced things up huh, wasn't expecting that scene with Tarte, and what about Dia sheeeshh... Guess this series is turning more and more ecchi now, they didn't mention what age the characters were this time, so who knows maybe some controversy will be created if this is shown in the anime.

Maha getting ignored once again, I feel like she is being forgotten each volume, well who cares Dia is best girl anyways. Well and Lugh created some new spells, a railgun this time, and he even got some powers from Epona, that scene where the nobles confronts him was really cool, I feel like the writing is getting better too.
And that snake women kinda sus they actually introduced a proper villain this time, and there are many mysteries and questions towards the end, I'm excited for the next volume really curious about where this story is going now.

Personally, I find this volume kinda boring compared to the other two. I can see how relevant all the tidbits of information here and there such as their training and preparations for the upcoming demons and so, the foreshadowing of a structured society existing in the demon nation, and the hidden corruption in the kingdom or maybe a result of usurpation of said demons or something...... But all in all nothing conclusive yet except for the demonkiller. It's all over the place that I can't find myself enjoying any of it, yet, maybe.

No new interesting character either, the snake woman is something of a mystery for now so it'd be nice if she turned out to be actually capable as an antagonist in the future.

- Obtained a secret medicine and new magic of Claudia and Tarte, along with Combined Elemental Magic.
- Tarte lusted to Lugh even more.

The anime got me curious and I ended up binging all 3 volumes. I'm not really a fan of the author's writing style. Something feels off about these multiple short chapters that quickly skims through different scenes. Maybe it's the lack of detail in storytelling or the lack of time required to get into that immersion phase due to the chapters being too short... Overall, it was not a bad read but nothing amazing so far. Things played out as expected of a typical isekai power fantasy, I guess. I don't really have any high expectations for further volumes but hopefully things get interesting later on.

Also, Maha = Best Girl, period.

Caught up with the release, sucks!
This prompted me to go out and see the covers and illustrations to 4-6 volumes, definitely interested in the direction the LN is going for, BUT.

I have mixed feelings about the power-ups this volume, Loyal Knights in a way is an awesome skill, but seems too unreliable as in that if they fail to meet the criteria, they will be SEVERELY downgraded, it was interesting how much this opened the repertoire of powers and flexibility for the cast, Dia, for example, will grow even more menacing.
But having to rely on this power is DANGEROUS, they just need to fail either criteria, puff, suddenly a lot of progress lost, and if Lugh fails it himself, wouldn't Dia and Tarte also lose theirs, since they only have it, due to Lugh having the skill active with him?!

IMO the writer put himself against a corner here, the problem is also the setting, the demons are just too OP, same for the hero, how many demons there are for once? If they can make an army out of it, it just seems crazy, like everyone has that crazy regeneration ability.

Going to ramble this for a bit on spoiler tags:

Gotta say, I liked Dia more this volume, more than volume 2, and they finally made love to each other, more writers have to grow a pair of balls! You can have the MC doing this, not being descriptive to the point it raises the age rating, and just being very meaningful for the development of the characters, Dia was definitely cute, this was probably one of the best scenes of the volume to me, I felt happy for both of them, and it was followed with another meaningful scene with Maha, and when the latter early on made an appearance on Lugh's ceremony~~

At first, I thought the same but to me, it is just a matter of the approach the writer choose to use, in reality, he could have merged a lot of the chapters in one larger chapter and brand it as so, just look to the assassination of the demon at the end of this volume, he took in steps, divided across different chapters, on a normal LN this would like to be the last part of the last chapter or something of the sorts.
As for details, I think he does enough, there are some that are more descriptive and I think he could improve in explaining and expanding those cute moments with Maha and the other girls for sure, I get your point here, it feels like he is going across them with precision, instead of letting it naturally flow and be more descriptive, building more to each scene... it is rather hard for me to pinpoint it really, but I think you understand what I m saying here.

DEFINITELY, I hate this lack of Maha, she has some prominence the first half, then nothing! It is annoying because to me she is one of the more enjoyable along with Dia, thus the writer really NEEDS to find a way, to have her be more present in the plot, and not solely be in the shadows and making appearances here and there.
Even Lugh's mom said to bring her home sometime, I want her to meet Dia and the rest of them too, vexing.

Overall I feel this volume made it easy for me to rate it thus far, put everything on concrete thoughts, I really enjoy when Dia and Maha have time to shine, the latter needs to be way more present, the scenes of the MC bonding with his harem need to be a bit more extended, detailed.
The writer IMO put himself on a tough spot, it was avoidable but he choose to, and now I feel the plot could suffer a lot from it. I have to agree that the series is losing a bit of its initial identity, to assassinate the hero or not, to save the world, demons need to go, Lugh needs to do something, but him being elevated like he was this volume, he is like a new hero, I preferred the writer to have him take more of a role in the shadows... due to this, I do think the series is going on a direction that makes things less exciting, blander and cliche, it is a pity because the series has its charms and identity, that it is slowly losing with this.

There are a lot of things to improve, the potential is here, the bonds between the main cast is very enjoyable to read and it is interesting to see Lugh coming up with new ways to use the knowledge of his old world with this, and sharing and creating magic with Dia, it is fun to read.

I will overlook some flaws for now, because when I have fun reading this, it is really awesome.
8.1/10 = 8

Sucks to have caught up, the translation is taking a bit too long, a decent translation speed IMO is 1 volume every 3 months, yes volume 4 will be released next month, but looking to the date of release between previous volumes has me losing interest, this is the problem with catching up to something that takes its time to come out and is still on an early phase.
Definitely feel the anime baited me into reading the LN too early on, won't complain, it was fun, but binge reading a lot at my pace is what makes even more cliches, the generic shit, more bearable.

I do feel that if I have to read this series more sparsely, I will grow to be way more critical of it, especially with what I said above, being hopeful the contrary would happen is just being naive.
Anyway, an S2 would be nice, to see all this adapted, and if they expand and improve the scenes as they did for volume 1... I m definitely looking forward to that a lot!

I wrote a lot, I m definitely open for people to counterargument me here or there, or just take what I said and tell their own piece since LN forums are so dead nowadays.
