Having just finished the anime, is it worth going back and reading the light novels before the animes ending, or is it not enough story to name make it worth the time and just skip to where the anime leaves off?

The anime took a different direction from the LN, they rearranged things that should appear later.

If you want to read it where the anime left off read Vol 3 Epilogue, then skipped Vol 4 Chapter 1, but read the rest of Vol 4, skipped Vol 5, then read 6,7,8... Note: Your going to be confuse if you start where the anime left off.

If you want the full experience of the novel I suggest reading it at Volume 1 again, since the anime skipped a lot of details, and the anime add original scenes too, that doesn't make senses.

Thank you for the advice! Hmm will have to give it some thought whether I care more about exposition or nail biting waiting to see what happened, very much appreciate it!

Aside from skipping lot of details, and adding anime original scenes that doesn't make sense. The anime took different direction by animating Vol 5 first, which is the Silver Bride, before Vol 4 Eternal You.

Miharu supposed to appear in Episode 10, instead of a cliffhanger. So if you gonna read the source material where the anime left off, you'll gonna be confuse on the timeline.

TLDR. Vol 1-3 > Vol 4 Chapter 1 > Vol 5 > Vol 4 Chapter 3

S1 left out a lot of the world building, and even changed some parts of the story so if youre in it for the long run then I highly suggest for you to start from the beginning.
Beware though the first few volumes are excruciatingly slow. Think of volume 1-3 as a prologue and volume 4 as the official start.
