If it's adaptation's fault, then I suggest to just start reading the manga, or just drop it if it's not to your liking, since u read the synopsis u should know for what u signed for.
It's very often the case with adaptations being shortened or unfaithful or changed somehow to fit the anime criteria.

I liked the premise in the beginning, so I read ahead in the manga and found it pretty decent. However, the anime adaptation is pretty lackluster and boring if you ask me…

What's got you lost? The anime isn't great, but I feel like I'm following along pretty comfortably. Is it the part with the 3 Dukedoms that's confusing for you?

with political I mean the episode with the 2nd city, I mean the one near the lake. After that episode I lost interest

So the talking about food growth and trade for like 8 straight episodes kept you interested, but the building of the actual port city that's meant to make the food growth and trade plans come to fruition lost you. Okay.

I like this anime, but sometimes its shit tbh. Especially episode 7. There's also pacing issues.

Its a meh. Not good not bad. Political shit is a good new refresh of isekais and since I absolutely fucking hate isekai with a burning rage whenever I see new generic isekais being adapted but this one gets a pass.

It got fucked by JC staff once again. Probably the manga is decent.

6.5/10 or 7 if were being generous.
