Another great dramatic romance from Miaki Sugaru.

Bittersweet Ending asuming that she succeeds in commiting the inevitable suicide from losing her parasite, but still painfully romantic for loving him afterwards without the influence of the parasite that was in her.

The whole concept of parasites inhabiting suicidal people, arguably saving them by causing them to fall in love with another affected host and how we slowly learn of its affects was psychologically fascinating.

I'm somewhat left missing somehow for wanting more, but it's great as is. 8/10.
The whole foundation of the story was solid in how it used every character with a purpose while revealing the truth of the parasite with every progress.

The mood and mystery from Izumi, the detective; blackmailing Kousaka Kengo to care for Sanagi Hijiri, to the whole journey of learning that Izumi's daughter, Kana was a victim of the parasite who commited suicide along her doctor.
To, her best friend Yumika Sakurai who is the one who made him realize that Kana was always suicidal, which is what created his theory.
Hijiri's parents being victims as well who commited a double suicide, and Kengo's mother who was a perfectionist demanding success from her incompetent child who later became affectionate and commited suicide as well from a parasite when he was 9 years old.

... Through the little hints of presentation as well when they meet in the museum as she explains to him parasites and Diplozoon Paradoxum. Matsuo who was extremely brief in the story but was simply used to show a heroine who Kengo didn't have feelings for. Sakurai who was the cashier in the beginning of the story to introduce Kengo's germaphobia. Hijiri's interest to parasitology. ... Overall, a slick execution of story.

Well said! I really enjoyed this too and will be recommending it to my friends. It might not be a masterpiece, but it is still slept on in my opinion

I really don't want to pull the string of her committing suicide leaving Kousaka alone...
To me, even with the explanation and the hints, it's an open end. So I'll go with an assumption that they both managed to solve the problem of death somehow... I mean, if she died that's melancholic tragedy, and it'd lead eventually to the downfall of Kousaka in my opinion.
Like come on, all the whole world can't come up with a solution to such a case or problem ?
Anyway, I enjoyed it. This author is just talented and I've read all his works (manga wise). And the art... hohohooooo it's peak-art. 8.5/10

So this person also created   '' I sold my life for ten thousand yen per year''. Makes total sense.
It felt really similar. Sugaru-san really likes to push his bittersweet overly feely agenda, but honestly he is a mediocre writer. This time an ending is even worse and plot got too confusing. Not only the plot got confusing, but the ending was also left open to interpretation... Come on, at least solve your mess, why are you solidifying yourself as an unqualified writer? ''Oh, it all turned to shit, I'll leave it like that''.

How to create a well-selling drama manga, recipe by  Miaki Sugaru:

1)First you need a relatable for teens theme, usually involving internal turmoil.

2)Protagonist is an anxious loner who failed his teen years and simply exists in his 20s.

3)Protagonist meets a quiet girl who turns out to be lovely(but only because she met the protagonist who she was waiting for her entire life or whatever).

4) Some drama stuff hapenning in-between until protag figures out ''what or who he really wants in life''.

5)Sweet/bittersweet(either way a really emotionally manipulative) ending where main two are together.

Open endings just prove author's low writing ability IMO. Never encountered any open ending story that could be considered great and I was absorbing information since I learnt to read at 4 y.o.

A 3 volumes long parasite propaganda. Made me think about chugging down a bottle of dewormer.

The overall premise was interesting, had thought-out execution but I really didn't like the romance parts. The art was the saving grace, reminiscent of ABe's characters.

deserves the warning label. It is scary ,outright scary that it made my ear hot and bone chilly.A watchfull eye on suicide without the euphemisms usually associated in art forms.A parasite turning out to be a symbiote holding its host form at bay. This is the second work after thousand yen... of this author i read.Honestly the former didn't a leave a mark as i disliked the change in pacing in its final leg but this maintained its quality till its end.It was a humbling experience. And i don't perceive it a open end,It's a final goodbye from one who got cured.
8/10
