| I watched it without rewatching. But afterwards I ended up rewatching due to the fact that I felt that I would understand it better then. But if you don't want to rewatching the main series then just the rebuild is fine |

| I did a full rewatch of the tv show and EoE before watching the Rebuilds and that made it tons more enjoyable than I expected, especially for the first Rebuild since it remakes scenes and takes the characters in refreshing directions, which is more fun if you've got the parallels in mind. Tl;dr: From experience, I would recommend to rewatch. |

| I don't think it's necessary at all as the first Rebuild Movie is mostly a summary of the first third of nge... So unless you don't remember what happened at all or really want to notice the changes it might make it less enjoyable... Could be beneficial for the later movies though as they are totally different but it would still not be necessary cause it's a totally different approach. |
