This is going to be dope, those following the manga know why!

Grab the 50 meg OP from there, kills the quality on veoh/youtube. Raw finally came out...

I have a question for anyone that has read the manga for Soul Eater. I saw that someone just made a recommendation between Elemental Gelade and Soul Eater with this to say: Both of these animes are pretty similar, they have partners that change into weapons. Also it seems that the weapons and person controlling the weapon seems to develop a love interest with each other.

So, is that what Soul Eater is like? I really liked those two specific things about Elemental Gelade, so if it's like that then it's something I will really want to check out.

I watched the first episode. altho it seemed kinda ...i dunno immature (like the want to appeal to the cool teenagers or something), the fighting sequence was insane. I will watch it just for that aspect alone. The way she wields the scythe is awesome and fluid, even at that speed. I like how they made sure to account for her weapon size in her movements. Bones is really top notch in fight sequence (its the same with Hei in Darker than Black)

Soul Eater is being animated by Studio C in Bones who also did Darker Than Black last year, obviously Soul Eater has a higher budget though. The guy who did the first fight sequence is Yutaka Nakamura, here's an MAD/AMV of his stuff, as you can see his is awesome.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_g3UVuJ7GpY

He didn't do anything for any Bones tv series in 2007 because he was working on the Bones movie Stranger.

Thank you for that. I enjoy both of those aspects so as long as there's at least one, I'm ok with the other being less important in comparison.

From duckroll on suki

This movie puts to shame every single live action or animated Japanese swordfighting action movie I've seen since Kitano's Zatoichi. For those who worship Nakamura for his animation work on the opening of the Escaflowne movie, feel good knowing that he has finally managed to find the means of not only surpassing that, but reaching a whole new level as an action animator.

So tempted to download raw!

Watched the first episode today, since I decided to download it (and, well, figuring out why I failed at playing big files was fixed up so I can).

Quite epic. I rather enjoyed it, and will certainly see where it goes from here. Great job of a shounen thus far, and I had to laugh at how both Magami and I (since I had her watch the OP) remarked how much the world/characters reminded us of my own shounen.

I'm starting to think mine isn't anywhere near as original as I thought...>.>;

Well, conceptually you can do a lot with it. For example, D.Gray-man has a pretty big Christian theme and delves into Christian lore and lot, and while I haven't seen all the shounen in the world, I'd say that's the first time I'd ever heard of a shounen that included such.

I dunno.

Claymore kinda broke the shounen mold too ...

But more on topic, I liked the episode, but only cause i am in love with the guys weapon, she was so cute :) She reminds me of tokine from kekkaishi, just a little older :)

I like the show so far but it will be very painful to me to watch the next episode. My cheek bled from bearing with brandon heats way of holding his guns and this guy actually holds them...upside down...and pulls the trigger with his pinkys...*rubs head* I cant see how they did such a great job with the fight scenes and the movements with the scythe but totally screw the gunslinger for 'cool rap video-esque effect'.

But you've always been a Halloween nut. <3
Anyway, thanks to the quoted, I'm now watching this series too, since I haven't followed anything as it was airing since Lucky Star...and, yea, the OP was a plus as well. Pretty good thus far.

Episodes 5-7 are going to be awesome, Stein, Kidd and than Chrona. Also looks like Bones will be using the characters from the second half of the manga since they showed the new meisters from the second half in episode 4. So I'm guessing they will use the second half and than make an ending from there somehow.

I watched the first episode the other day, and it wasn't anything that I expected it to be. I liked it a lot; the art style reminds me a little of FLCL.

And is that Ichigo's seiryuu that voices the boy/Scythe(?)

Soul Eater +Black Star vs. Death the Kidd was fucking hilarious.

I saw the set of new meisters and thought I recognized them from the manga covers. Looking forward to that too.

lol at this review of the manga
Unlike Harry Potter, the series drips with innuendo: Maka has to learn to "handle" Soul Eater when he's in scythe form. Kid's weapons are two super-obedient bombshells who turn into guns while he pulls on their triggers. Black Star goes through a bizarre training ritual that requires him to dip his fingers in a pot of liquid (and he is specifically instructed to start with just one finger and then slowly increase to two) in order to better control his sexy kunoichi weapon.

This show is pretty funny. Naruto Star and Soul fighting Ishida the kid was pretty funny. Liz and Patty are the true stars of the show. Ishida the Kid's bankai was pretty wicked, as well as Makas bankai. I wonder if we have seen the last of black Renji-sensei

A new character has arrived. She is a witch pretending to be a school nurse. She is Medusamaru the snake woman. Stein and Makas father were pretty cool together. Nice kamahameha (hadoken?) attack by stein. Although this Bankai wasn't impressive it got the job down, kocking out all of Meduamaru's arrows

So, who would win in a fight? The Masters and the weapons or the Shinigami of Bleach and their bankais? Though, I think I know the answer to this one...;)
