Bad guy theory

I dont remember his name, but its about the main bad guy.
It was very established that he doesn't fear death. I assumed it was because he was also a former dragon dentist, and he just knew how he is going to die, so he didnt fear other dangerous situations. He thought he grew to hate them for accepting death the same way that mushi girl did, but then he just died.
I guess his death doesn't defy my theory but it certainly doesn't confirm it.
I expected him to give his backstory and when he dies to have a vision like that friend who died.
Did i miss anything?
