not from this episode, but the talking monkey guy is trying to recreate some old sect that was disbanded way back when? and i'm assuming the 4 current sects all split off from that ancient sect? or something like that. and now mc is going around to the other 3 sects to learn their secret techniques and become immortal, but him doing so will help out monkey guy's plan? i'm also assuming by learning all the secret techniques from all of the sects, mc will unlock some ancient power that has been lost to time (maybe the monkey guy knows it? idk)

as for this episode, mask girl is a "du" family member? the lingxi sect traitor was a "du" family member also. both have black cloaked people helping them. the middle peak elder said she'd been betrayed before or something. also, the middle peak leader makes it sound like as soon as she attains that blood son designation her nephew is free to harass the mc, like she's only using the mc in order to advance her own career/cultivation and then she'll kill him off if she needs

also, mysterious and powerful old guy appears to mc in his room. gives him some pill to speed up his foundation. something about mysteries being resolved. no clue what's going on. there is definitely a lot of mystery in this show
