These two are certainly perverts, but in terms of likability of how they mold their character which would you prefer?

Issei 100% he's just a better person and easier to like. At least from what I know. I haven't read the source material for either show so my opinion just comes from there anime adaptations.

As more of the Light Novel gets adapted, you’ll see that Rudeus is not even gonna be comparable to other ecchi or isekai protagonists, he’s simply way more well written than all of em.

Obviously Issei. I mean, Issei is like a blank slate where you can potray yourselves, which isn't necessarily bad. An open pervert with the desire to protect makes the character simple and understandable. I mean who wouldn't want hot Onee-sans with big anime tiddies for yourself, atleast I've dreamt it more than a million times. Though their reasons for falling for him might be generic, but it doesn't make the show any less enjoyable. As someone who has read the source material of dxd up to date, I can say Issei has changed his ways or more like "toned" down. You should try opening this thread in dxd forum, u might get plethora of responses😂

Issei is your run of the mill cookie-cutter MC, with his ideals, hopes and an immature position on "ïf the opurtunity presents itself I will restrain myself, for I am a decent personn". So no thank you to Issei.

This comparison is meaningless, in my opinion.

Rudeus is a bad person but also the worst character.
Issei is a good person, but a bad character.

Rudeus is a 40-year-old man who acts like a child. and also that he is a pedophile who loves to sexually molest people, he has had all the time in the world to develop as a person. He literally does heinous shit, like tying up women and groping them, and is finally forgiven at the end of the episode.

The only problem I have with Issei is his exacerbated perversion and terrible development writing!
