| It is crazy how something as simple as just doing the basic acts of kindness can leave behind such a massive legacy. I guess that's kinda the point though, Himmel wasn't just someone who was a beacon of hope who defeated the Demon King. But he was also an average good person who realized that literally everyone is just trying to get by. That everyone has their own demon king that they face everyday, their own hardships, and everyone needs help and support to get through that. Just like how Himmel and the Hero Party got from people. I think Frieren has much more hope in humanity than Serie or anyone else, because she simply puts her faith in good people existing. Also love how none of the characters in this manga are one-dimensional, even Wirbel who comes off a power trippy asshole is someone that is trying his best to help people, even if it's just his own village. The writing in this manga is nothing short of amazing. |

| It's always nice to see how these people in some way or the other became the way they're just because of a small deed of kindness Himmel did way back in his hero days. Truly an influential character for this series. |

| I fucking love this conversation between Wirbel and Frieren. He's not your stereotypical hero who can do no wrong but he tries his best to do the right thing. It's so much more real to me than all those goody two shoes shounen mcs with infinite plot power that fixes all the nonsense that they do. Love it. "Death isn't the only parting in this world." |
