Chance for Ss2?

Well... Akatsuki no Yona has been on air since 2014 and now it's 2021. It's been almost 7 years and still no sequel. This is a great anime series and also a lot of people love it, the manga is also coming out regularly. So I don't understand why this show is not being produced for season 2. If you guys knows something please tell me, thanks a lot.

It would be really cool if it got a season two. But hasn’t it been too long? If they were to touch the series again they would perhaps have to redo season one.

The anime was to promote the manga im pretty sure and it’s been so long I doubt there will be a s2 but I hope there’s a chance in the future.

I don’t think the fact that it’s been 7 years is a valid reason. The Devil is a Part Timer is getting a sequel, and it came out in 2013. Fuck it, Higurashi was a series that “ended” in 2007, but got a sequel in 2020, and that has a sequel airing right now! I don’t think 7 years is too much for a season 2. However, I still doubt Yona will get a season 2, just because it wasn’t that popular.

I feel if we get a S2 someday, they’ll pull a Fruits Basket reboot and start from the beginning but go through the entire series. But the existence of quite a few OVAs also makes me think that won’t happen either and we’ll just have to deal with what we have.

I don't think season 1 needs a remake.
Sound, graphics and everything in season 1 are all good. Only anime with very old art need to be remade.

I think Yona is an anime with a lot of potential, the plot is quite special compared to nowaday anime. And I think the number of people who like Yona is not small. Anyway, I hope we can see Season 2 soon.

Yup, I remembered it all too well but I don't know why it needs to be redo the 1st season when its great as it is. At least for me anyway. 😅

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

yeah my bad I was thinking about the gaps between some animes the other day, and realized that it’s pretty common to have big gaps even if a lot people like the anime. So I wasn’t really thinking sorry

Can't say for sure, but there's a history of continuation after a long break. For example look at Hataraku Maou Sama which had a similar time gap. It depends on the studio you see🙂🙂

I'm always in disbelief that this never got a sequel, they have enough source materials for at least three seasons, the manga is popular and to my understanding, so was the anime. But I'm always hoping.

What a big damn shame there was never a sequel. It's really weird considering how fairly popular the manga is. Maybe when it will end there will be another season like they often do.
