A question to the light novel readers

I’m really liking this anime and I’m particularly liking Kazuya’s and Liscia’s relationship and it seems we’ll be getting some romance between them (soon?). My question is about how does romance works in this story because it is also listed as a harem and that really scares me (MC choosing every girl or no girl at all). Feel free to spoil me about the romance.

Basically kazuya will marry all the women (for political reasons) but liscia is the first primary wife and kazuya asks her permission to marry the others.

Kazuya has several women. Due political gain and also for genuine feelings and stuff. He just catches them all. True Chad.

Yes, he cares for all the various ladies that he ends up marrying. We won't see much of that though unless we get more than just the 13 episodes promised so far

I don't think so,as far as I remember, in the light novel the development was slow but noticable.

The romance development is slow, but quite deliberate. The MC is quite committed to the relationship and doesn't treat it as childishly as most isekai MCs do. The reasons for the rather slow relationship progress are mostly external and get resolved one by one in the story. There are many wives sharing the attention, but they all have a pretty good place and purpose in the lore which means they appear rather often and don't get sidelined that badly.

I'd say the greatest issue is that especially later on in the story the MC ends up travelling a lot to other countries and tends to leave some of the wives, especially Liscia, behind a lot or they just generally get temporarily put aside for the sake of subplot development. They're never quite forgotten though so I don't consider that a big issue but it means that romantic progress is rather heavily limited to the downtime between subplots.

But yea, not much notable progress with Liscia during the first season I think. You should keep in mind that the marriage between the MC and Liscia has been arranged under rather unusual conditions and without consent from Liscia which puts a rather realistic buffer for romantic development.

I don't think so,as far as I remember, in the light novel the development was slow but noticable.

There will be development, but don't expect any sort of rapid resolution.
They will be going through the slow process of getting to know one another first.
One thing to note is that since the eventual marriage will be a State Event, that will be a delaying factor even after they decide to marry.
