What is in Decim's hand in the poster?

Whenever I look at the Death Parade poster, I can't help but notice Decim is looking down at something red in his hand. I'm not sure if it's dripping blood or pieces of red yarn. Perhaps I missed out on an important detail, but does anyone know what it is?

it seems to be blood, you can barely see it dripping into his hand if you look at the elevator just above.

Yea it is blood. They made it like that because they want to show that the souls of humans depended on the actions of the arbiters. (if you didn't realise at the room where the deaths were counted there are drops of blood falling down. Each drop shows a human. When it falls in a wine glass, it means the human had died)
