is the controversy around the first dub really enough to stop them


i guess it did thought sense they havent released an english dub of this

It has nothing to do with that. Funimation, normally doesn’t do OVA episodes. Maybe they’ll put it out with season 2, but that’s a maybe.

people where upset because in the first episode they changed a line from “but I’m a women” to “I’m not into women” which changes how the viewer interprets kobayashi and tohrus relationship. It also added in a few lines of gender politics jokes which weren’t in the original and aren’t at all good.

welp, dubs are just really shit overall lol, always better to go with the original.

Yeah, I was sad they didn't have one, I binge this show 2 months ago and just said "fuck it" still, a good episode ๐Ÿ˜

Unfortunately, it has not. Season 2 and all its specials have been dubbed as of the latest BD release, but they never went back and dubbed this OVA nor the other season 1 specials. We can only dream.
