Well nothing but more trials and tribulations for our best bros. More monsters this episode featuring zombie monkeys and these blood sucking face mask insects. Just like previous episodes nothing went easy for Wu, Yang, and the professor.

We discover that the tree was used for blood sacrifices with these blood sucking insects that were placed onto people's faces that eventually drained the body. The sacrifices were for the God of Wood.

The ending with the professor was crazy! Maybe he will survive, but the odds are not in his favor. Overall this episode was pretty action packed, definitely had a lot of suspense, haven't seen a donghua to that magnitude.

I hate those damn insects! If they make more animations or you watch the live adaptations, you will be seeing bugs again.

It's interesting how different in some ways this is from the lives. I wonder if it's closer to the book.

That Quote "Anime Only Discussion" is automatically added to the post, I did not put it there, it was not intentional and I honestly did not even notice that it was being added to my posts. I will try to see if I can change that in the future, but I don't recall any option for that.

Update! I just checked and there is no option to remove it or change it. That quote is automatically put in every post.
