I wanted to buy this manga, but I wanted to be sure of one thing first. Do I have to read the 2 volumes of aqua first to be able to start it?

Yup. It's absolutely necessary if you don't want to feel lost in Aria's first few chapters (Aqua handles Akari's entire character introduction and her first few experiences+meetings in Neo-Venezia).

Aria expects that a lot of people didn't read Aqua so it does a good job of re-introducing things, but read it anyway! It's all part of it. The localization includes it into Aria.
