Kabaddi was a part of my childhood, and I remembered it as a long and exhausting game of rural India. I mean, the actual rules are that game will continue until one team is either completely out or if one of teams surrenders because they are exhausted OR when your parents call off the game because you have been playing it for last seven hours without finishing any of your daily chores. I mean for me, it was always the last option for me though. Dad would come, grab me by my collar and drag me back to home. There mom would wash me up because actual kabaddi is played in mud.
It was when Indian sports council decided that they want to take kabaddi to commonwealth and other tournaments, specific rules were laid and to keep the game fast paced, lobby and bonus points were introduced.

Well, enough about me reminiscing about my childhood, but I do wish for one episode where they leave the mat, and go play kabaddi in mud leaving all the modern rules behind, just for fun.

When I used to play kabaddi, and went to raid the other side, my favorite part was to toss the last opponent to my own side, and even ground slamming them on the grass, ๐Ÿ˜‚ Kabaddi never felt complicated, since we would only require 3-4 pairs of shoes, or floaters to make the boundary line, and then it was game on.

We used to play kabaddi on grass and used our slippers and shoes to make the dividing line. It used to get hella muddy in the rainy season and by the time the game was over, everyone would be covered in mud and grass ๐Ÿ˜‚

I remember me and my friends use to play kabaddi in mud without our shoes so when we went for the scorpion move, all the mud would be flown everywhere xd.

Dude talk about a trip to nostalgia
We used to play it in our school
Back then there were no tournaments like pkl to learn from so we used to set our own rules

I sucked at raiding and didn't knew how to do it so I used to slap my friends and laughed on it the whole period
In defending I wasn't good at teamwork so I usually launched myself at the raider(like a spear) and left one of my friends crying most of the time coz of it

Once we even tore one of our friend's shirt while playing....and dude we didn't just tore it simply we just shredded it
No one could say we were playing kabaddi after seeing the condition of his shirt
The school janitor took him in an empty class and gave him a new shirt to wear right away๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Dude I got so many memories with this game .....
Ahhhh am I not happy seeing an anime based on kabaddi

We were'nt allowed to play kabaddi in school and also not allowed to play sports in our formal uniform. But our class got a free period, so we went to the school's cricket ground. We all decided to play kabaddi even though we might get caught and beaten up xD. We played long enough. Then there were mere 20 minutes left before our departure from school. We had stopped playing kabaddi about 5 minutes ago. But everyone were fooling around in open collar buttons and open ties. Our shoes were off as well because we used them to draw the kabaddi line. I adviced my friends to pack up but no one liestened. And guess what our principal saw us and called us to his office. I was fine cause I knew he might come as his office was right in front of the cricket ground so I packed up asap before the school bell rang. He did not allow them to go home by bus and held them in his office and then called their parents. This was a small incident though. Once we were playing kabaddi on a higher ground. My friend fell and broke both of his arms. Still he was somehow playing pubg with us even though he had plasters on both of his hands xD. And then once one of my friend broke his leg while playing and he was bedridden for 4-5 months. His whole year was wasted. But I still love to play the game.

I just imagined someone playing pubg with plasters on both hands. How stupid would that be. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I'll make it short...when i was a kid we just make the centre line and that's all and when someone go for rhe raid, other team just ran away as far as possible..lol๐Ÿ˜‚ until raider went out of his breath..
...after sometime we played like of wrestling...even after getting down we imitate like of a bollywood hero..to just lead us to more bleeding and injuries..lol...
....
but when i was in class 9...we (the volleyball team) thought of taking a break for kabaddi...and then we started but this time within a limited range with rules...and in the mean time i find out i was a good raider... playing within a limited region for the first time with knowing all of the rules were more amazing and fun from the last time...each day we all bleed from arms legs knees...but believe me that was fun ... really...for every 2-3 days we finished using up a can of pain relief spray...we got healed but come up with a new wound everyday...nights with full body pain...ahh๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‚...
well in those days we were in school hostels... that's y only nurse mam was there to scold us..but after like 10 days everyone left..i dunno y maybe they wanted to play other things or maybe of injury...as there was no players so get back to my fav. sport now ... volleyball....this thing is like 5 years ago...now getting locked up...no sports..only anime and stuffs...
an Indian here btw...

We used to play in school and our maths teacher would also play along with us. He was fantastic at it. We would bunk some classes just to play. We would get badly injured almost every day. I was known to be the guy who tore his trousers the most while playing. I was also on the Kabaddi team in high school... Good ol' days when we could actually go outside.
