Its a pretty good adaptation so far, but it feels a bit rushed. It kinda threw off the comedic timing of some of the jokes with how hard it was pushing to get passed them.

The Subs are rushed and hard to read for now.
If this ever turns into a Harem as suggested i won't watch anymore.
For now it's Good.

well, it failed "step 1" of the "how to create a donghua rule book", which is "in the first episode the mc must die and be reincarnated haha

if you couldn't tell, i'm being sarcastic. it was refreshing af to not have that trope

mc seems like a nice enough guy but is unintentionally a pain in the ass for everyone in his village. he's even been a 3-year long pain to the immortal sect leader guy who he hadn't even met in person yet. i'm not sure why the lightning bolts kept striking at him? is he bad luck?

he gets to the immortal sect mountain and is immediately thrown into the kitchen unit, AND challenged to a fight to the death by someone who wanted the kitchen job the mc took haha

the mc doesn't appear to have any cultivation ability so far, but idk for sure

he gets he special tool...a cooking wok that looks like a turtle shell. and he catches his "fatty" brothers eating all the food in the kitchen on his first night there... they spot him watching them, but i'm not sure what's going to happen to him

this was pretty good. decent comedy at points. 7.5/10 to start

They skipped a lot and re-arranged some of the content but overall it was a pretty good adaptation for a first episode. They talk a lot faster than I expected. Very fast paced and the animation looks decent. It's a lot more cutesy than I imagined it. I can't speak chinese but the voice for Bai Xiachun is a lot more childish than I imagined. I can't believe they're setting up Xu Baocai to be like a villain in this arc. 🤣

So... MC pretty much "pranked" to get into the Cultivation Sect... and the village is happy he's gone...

And his whole goal is to just be immortal...
