Primordials unleashed and absolute slaughter. Can't believe Diablo haven't even gotten a chance to get serious. He just took out 2 single digits who gave Rimiru and Benimaru a tough time like it was child's play.

Also, I didn't like the part where the author decided that it was a good thing to resurrect 700000 people just like that. From what I've read so far, I thought it's something beyond Rimiru's abilities and something that can't be done in a single day. Felt like that part was written for plot convenience.

Anyone know is Michel the otherworlder is male or female?

The fan translations refer to the pair of "the two men" but then also specifically refers to Michel as "her, she, herself".

Anyone know?

It might very well seem convinent but Raphael has been playing with astral bodies for quite a lot times (Shion's resurrected team, Chole, Hinata, Gaia, Treyni and friends) and souls of these dead imperial army were all in Rimuru's stomach. And Raphael gained the profound skill not just through experience but also playing with Zegion and Apito's skills(Making them ultimate products) with help of Asses and Acquire, it can be said this phenomenon is not very far fetched.

even then, it still didnt break the concept of resurrection magic in the story

rimuru could only revive the ppl that died within the labyrinth. besides, the labyrinth is already under raphael's control since iirc vol 11

that said,

even if they died in the labyrinth, rimuru could only revive the ppl that their soul still intact. thats why the guy that got his soul corrupted by kumara couldnt get revived despite dying within the labyrinth

rimuru decided to revive those 700,000 of ppl cuz he needed lab rats for his resurrection magic, he wanted to perfect his forbidden jutsu. why? I think he didnt want the tragedy in other timelines to happen again...where his ppl (tempest denizens) were dead permanently (as stated by chloe/ chronoa)

rimuru also cursed every single one of em anyways, its perfectly safe

This volume just got released last week here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story completely revolved amongst the other characters instead of just Rimuru, I thought that was cool. Personally, I thought that the revival of those 700k people was an interesting twist and I'm interested to see what'll happen. Very good volume. Also, the way Diablo took care of those two single digits at the end was awesome. The faces of the people inside of that tent when Diablo dumped their bodies must've been priceless.

This volume seems so inconsistent random.

Firstly, during the labirinth invasion the empire stated that they didn't know the monsters in there resurrected. What is up with their intelicence gathering, it seems so unlikely that such an important fact was overlooked by them.

Secondly, it's unbeliveble that Rumuru, Bennimaru and Chloe had such a hard time against jsut 2 humans with borrowed powers. We can excuse Bennimaru as he did not have an ultimate skill, but what about Chloe? Last volume she exchanged several dozens of blows with Guy using her Ultimate time-stop ability, and now she suddenly looses control of it just like that? She is not even a monster, so the anti mosnter barrier shouldn't have affected her. Also, she it is stated several times that she is stronger than Veldora, has at least 2000 years of experience under her belt, if we accept the fact that she forgot all other memories about her pervious time travels (and we know she remembers the previous one besides de current one, which leaves her with much more years of experiencethan 2000 but whatever...). And the excuse as of why Rimuru does not act is because Chloe's opponent has the leasure to fire off massive magic attacks to the city while fighting Chloe? Yeah sure... makes no sense to me.

The story with Treyni is also so inconsistent it drives me crazy. Everyone knows they are on a truce with Yuuki at this point. Not only does she act on her own just because, explain to me how was she the only one that detected Laplace? Besides that she went missing for 10 fucking days, and no one questioned it? They were on the verge of war and she just up and dissapeared, a core administrator of the labirinth, and Ramiris closest attendent, and no one mentiones it. Like hell Ramiris would have been like "Oh well, she'll be back when she gets hungry", and brush the issue off. Not to mention how stupid the act of not listening to Laplace after TEN fucking days of fighting. And she does not even get a scolding because of it, they be chill like "Oh well, it's in the past now". I know they take this war as a joke, but man... Not even a "Be more careful about it in the future".

And there are several more things like Diablo dispaching the single numbers without any effort, the same persons that gave Rimuru, Benimaru and Chloe a hard time... or the reviving of 700k persons just like that but whatever. I'm feeling really dissapointed in this volume.

The consistent bullshit the author pulls out during this volume exceeds the normal, and he does that a lot in previous volumes as well... But this time it's just for the sake of it beeing flashy, or for it to make it seem that Rimuru does not have everything under his control without and inch of it beeing coherent.
