It's like how there aren't Doujinshi's within the database as well. |

It's like how there aren't Doujinshi's within the database as well. It’s weird because my friend uses Kitsu and apparently they have everything on there. Kinda annoying that MAL doesn’t just include everything. We’re in the age of digital publishing, webtoon is a valid platform. If it was like someone’s own website or personal blog where they uploaded their story, it’s different, but webtoon (at least the originals) should automatically be considered as officially published material. I think MAL only considers stuff that has been printed as ‘published’. |

The threshold is physical publication. I myself tried submitting microHUNTER onto MAL before, and it got denied since it only exists in an online format with no physical release. |
