A few years ago we had a similar situation, only with Blue Exorcist that after a few years it ended up having its deserved continuation, although it was not successful because the hype had been lost. If fans show that the series has not died and that they want an adaptation in conditions it may be possible. Does anyone know if the way to create a petition to have a new season for them see that people support and like, if that was possible, they could give consitions, dont know. This reason may be stupid, but I can't live without that first season soundtrack and I would like to see the anime series improve a lot and the original, including in history and see a different ending from the manga that decorated the series as a masterpiece. I think very loudly, but if necessary I create a tweet to spread the word.

I mean that would be pretty hype but what are the chances of it actually happening?
I'm a blunt and pessimistic guy who tries to be nice to everybody. Whether that's off-putting or not is for you to decide.

Sadly very slim, but I really wanted to see Goldy Pond so badly!

for Blue exorcists don't remember really too much but I think it was just the final episodes that they changed a f** it the series, but with Yakusoku was not just the final episodes, here is a entire season that they changed it for the anime, so idk

I was told the reason they changed the plot for the second season was because the author was un happy with it in the manga? So I doubt it if that’s true

Yes, I’ve heard that the original author of the manga was dissatisfied with how it did (in terms of manga sales) and wanted to change the story. So he was directly involved with how all the changes S2.
I think it’s different from Blue Exorcist, or even from what they did with Tokyo Ghoul, Root A and :Re.
I know a lot of of people are expecting an entire remake like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood... but I think it’s a bit improbable. I think at most we’re maybe going to get Goldy Pond in a movie.

Reboots usually get after 15 years and Tokyo ghoul was finished just in 2018.

I read last night that there is still a chance they may include this arc but that they wanted to reintroduce Norman into the plot before doing so.

Those rumors come from recent screenshots of the mobile game. This anime is funded by cygames, the studio making the mobile game and in a screenshot they showed young Norman (like in the anime) Emma Ray and Phil as the 4 playable characters fighting against demons on a map that looked like it was based on Goldy pond.

But tbh I kind of doubt that means anything.

Everything is possible, of course, but for now I don't think the chances are very high. Maybe in 10, 15 years, yes. If a studio or director really loves the Manga or something related is coming up.

There are better shows out there which deserve a reboot more than this, and in this case the mangaka himself was involved in production,so he himself wanted the anime to deviate from manga, leaving no hopes for any kind of reboot

Just because the mangaka was involved in the production doesn’t mean he wanted it to turn out like this. Especially since we don’t know to what level he was involved and how much control he had, if any. The is no evidence that the changes made were his idea or that he even approved of them.

It’s definitely possible since the TPN manga has sold over 32 million copies which is more than most other manga that people want an anime reboot of. So far it’s the 6th best selling manga of 2021, which is impressive since S2 was so bad and the manga ended over a year ago. Plus TPN is still incredibly popular in Japan as evident by the number of TPN related events that exhibitions that are currently happening in Japan. Some people think it won’t get a reboot because the manga goes downhill and the ending was bad, but from what I’ve heard the ending of the manga was actually very well received in Japan which is where it matters most. And I doubt the Japanese are going to be discouraged from doing a reboot because of overseas hate for the ending.

Do you have a source for that? I can’t find any official source that says the author was dissatisfied with the manga sales or that he was directly responsible for all the changes made in S2. Just because he was involved in the production doesn’t mean he wanted it to turn out like this. Especially since we don’t know to what level he was involved and how much control he had, if any.

It's so funny to me that they just skipped a perfectly great arc lol. That one would've made a lot of money, you can't convince me otherwise, no matter how bad the manga got after that the anime was successful enough to carry itself.
